It allows me to free form my expression, especially when I combine machine with organic elements. I depict my surroundings for what they are in their own way from the very dirty to the very clean and polished. The symbolic impact of these elements in my art creates a complex puzzle that represents a strong resolution in the final unified work.

THE BACK STORY:
I submitted a small three point perspective drawing originally created in high school architecture class to a college course titled, "Learn to draw what you see". The day's assignment was on light and shade and I thought this piece composed of many blocks would be appropriate.
After the session concluded, the works were displayed in the hallways for all to view. The weekend passed and I discovered on Monday that the drawing had been stolen! A brief description was written and expressed my concern through the college newspaper, however, no response. So later that year, around mid November, It would be redrawn and titled, "Industrialism at Dusk". To my satisfaction, I had outdone the previous and therefore, began another drawing.

Lines will be drawn but maybe that line enlightens me in a direction that was not seen earlier, or it looks different on paper. After this phase of conception, I will already have the whole picture drawn in my head. The perspective, how each part will look rendered with what kind of texture and sheen. In the works that have symmetry, the first set of lines are drawn, that panel is flipped over on a light table, then re-traced and re-drawn on the face side.
